For planting berry roses, a spacing of 30–40 cm between plants and about 4 m between rows is recommended, in order to ensure proper vegetative growth and ease of crop management.
Commercial production begins from the year following planting, making use of the flowering and ripening of the previous year’s shoots.
Berry roses have a medium-sized, bushy habit, with a well-balanced shrub development suitable both for field cultivation and for harvesting for floral use.
Starberry
Round, red hips. Long stems with few thorns.
The plant has an upright growth habit and a medium to tall height.
Miaberry
Small, olive-shaped hips, green to orange-red, with late ripening. Short stems on long branches, thornless.
Double harvest: green and red.
Littleberry
Small, round red hips. Short, thornless stems.
The plant has a medium, bushy growth habit.
